Last Thursday, April 12, under the project “Mira por onde pisas”, we received at the IES Arcebispo Xelmírez II the visit of professor Mª Teresa Rodríguez López, from the University of Santiago de Compostela. She offered the talk: “Living on the ground: what the eye does not see”.
Mª Teresa Rodríguez earned a Ph.D. in biology from the USC, and teaches zoology at the Lugo campus and is an expert in soil fauna. She spoke with us about worms, but also about many other small animals that live on the ground, and about the roles they play in soil development and their importance in our lives.
We take the opportunity to show our gratitude for her visit.
